Learning A New Skill

JavaScript Edition

This will be a documentation of me learning a new skill for my English class. I chose to learn JavaScript because it is the last langauge a web developer would need to learn, and I want a job in that field. I also want to use the stuff I learn on my personal website somehow.

Look at the images and video of me learning here!

Progress

This will document my progress throughout this whole ordeal

4/18/2023 I haven't updated this in a while, but I have been learning a few things. Today I recorded a video of me trying to do a "dog year" project that it wanted me to do. I haven't coded for over a month, but once I got the hang of it I felt pretty nice about it. Overall I think it's cool that's it way easier to learn than people led me to believe. A lot of people see JavaScript as a really hard coding language, but it's actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it, at least for me.

3/9/2023 I did the kelvin weather project today. It's kinda similar to a project I did in computer programming except we worked with python (which is easier). I felt pretty good about it. One thing I do find hard is string concactenation because it's hard keeping track of all the spaces and plus signs you need to put.

2/25/2023 Completed the first lesson today. I'm semi confident. It's kind of similar to python, but python is way easier. I'm taking notes on paper because it'll help me remember it better. Here's the screenshots of me doing it.

2/23/2023 First day. Made the account, and made the html and css pages. I'll start the lesson tomorrow. I'll update the style because it looks kinda ugly right now.
